Shockingly, four out of every ten full-frame cameras sold in the first half of 2018 were Sony.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The company attributed their landmark success to the popular reception and sales of their a7R III and a7 III camera, as well as the \u201crapid adoption\u201d of the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bhphotovideo.com\/c\/product\/1333228-REG\/sony_ilce_9_b_alpha_a9_mirrorless_digital.html\/BI\/6857\/KBID\/7410\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">a9<\/a>\u00a0amongst sports photographers and photojournalists. They also acknowledged their active and engaged communities playing a part across social media platforms. \u201cIt is our pleasure to create for you, the true creators,\u201d said Neal Manowitz, vice president of Digital Imaging at Sony Electronics. \u201cYou pushed us to innovate, to change, to continually adapt, and your voice remains core to everything we do.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In a show of support for these loyal creatives, Sony also announced the launch of a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/alphauniverse.com\/BeAlpha\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">\u201cBe Alpha\u201d<\/a>\u00a0campaign which will host community events throughout North America in 2018.
